That new version looks sooo much easier to use. I'd probably play around with settings a lot more if it was that simple.

This question is mostly for Billy...would your recommended settings for the V3's apply to the Clubsports or do you have a completely different list of settings for those?

Yes. It's a good starting point and you can't really go wrong with it.

Two fairly esoteric questions I'm hoping someone can help me with:
  1. Can anyone tell me the diameter of the threaded part of the shock body?
  2. (Paging Billy ) Are there any differences between the v3s and the Clubsports other than the rates of the included springs, and presumably the valving? Stated differently -- is the hardware (internal or external) any different between the v3s and the Clubsports? KW's website is pretty unclear on this point.
Thanks!

Don't quote me but I think the spring used is a 60mm ID so the threaded body would be 58-60mm ish. This is off the top of my head, could be completely wrong. 60mm should be slightly larger than 2 1/4" but i'm too lazy to verify, if so then i think thats right.

The hardware should be the same except for the CS's top hat and higher rates.

ok I installed mine today and I have a few questions/ concerns.

1. Do you guys adjust ride height by measuring or counting the amount of threads the collar is up? Or do you just go by how many finger gap there in on each side? Because I had them set like 17 threads up in the rear and for some reason the right side was alot lower then the left. I had to really tighten up the RR collar quite a bit in order for it to even put with the left rear. Is this normal? (idk if this has anything to do w/ question 2)

2. KW says to torque the 2 nuts supplied that hold the shock rod to the top hat to 18 ftlb, Do you do this by holding the bottom nut and tightening the top one or do you torque the first one down, then the second one on top? Reason I ask is because the RR coilover, I went to torque it to 18 ftlb and it seemed like it just kept spinning the shock rod.. Wondering why this only happened to the RR and if this is ok.. or if a valve got messed up or something. The rear suspension also seeemed to be pretty noisy when I lowered the car on the lift but the front is quite.

3. Under the OEM top hat there is a black washer. I didn't realize until I went to install the rear top hats onto the coilovers. So, I put them in place in the rear but not the front. Is this ok?

here are some pics..

no #8 in this picture

That is the least of my worries right now. Don't seem to really have any problems with the front shocks yet. My main question/ concern is why does my RR spring perch have to be set like twice s high as the left side for it to have the same ride height and why did the shock rod keep spinning on the RR when I went to torque it to 18 ft lb
