Well my letter to the SEB regarding allowing the use of non OEM hardtops (letter #9604) has been reviewed and a response is coming in the next fast track. I don't think this is going anymore. More than likely it's going to say, thanks for the input but we don't believe it's in the spirit of the rules or something like that but at least I tried LOL.

If they do, I want to be able to buy replica Nismo body parts...instead of the 3.65 million dollars it costs for the OEM stuff.

Why can't you? According to the rules for instance I can run a replica CR wing using any material.

FYI, it looks like Evasive has all three in stock - hardrace, and J's with and without the roll center plate. Granted, I didn't try placing them in my cart since I don't need them. GL

Already contacted evasive and it's backordered. I did locate another vendor that had it in stock but won't disclose where until mine actually ships. At this point if you don't get it from someone who actually has it in stock you're looking at a 2 month wait for either J's or Hardrace.

I'm still running the SPC joint from my STR car (swapped upper control arms with joints) with no issues for 1.5 years. They are still really firm. Is there any reason you want the J's joint instead? More clearance?

Also, my replica hardtop is due to be shipped today. Send me your references/supporting remarks and I will submit my own letter. It would be great to be able to run this in the rain. It also saved me 2000 compared to an OEM top.

Just reference my letter number I listed in my post above. I prefer to push the bottom of the wheel out than pull the top in for clearance especially for the kind of tires/wheels we're going to run.

I will post a picture comparison between the 17x8.5 with 255 hankook. 17x10 with 275/40/17 bfg and the 275/35/18 on 18x11 when I get everything mounted up. First event of 2013 will be Jan 6 on concrete. Well see how the car feels/works with new shoes

I agree. If there is a section that have the same allowances between STR/SP, then rename the thread to include SP.

About the only thing we share with STR is the suspension choices (though setup might be different) and maybe diff options.
