Any of you guys considering running BFG R1-S tires? Looks like the only have a 285 then a 335. Would you consider running the 285 square instead with this tire size the 335 may be hard to fit without more fender work?

On paper, both 285s look close. The R1-S 335 looks closer to the A6 325. Anyone have pictures of the R1-S/A6 285/30/18 comparison? Either way, sometimes a tire fits rims much differently, even among the same brand/line. Looking at both the 285/30/18 and 295/30/18 Hoosier A6, I can visibly see differences, especially with the inner lip/bead. Nothing will beat test fitting them yourself.

The bfg are substantially wider than a a6 in same size. We compared our 275/40/17 on a 10" wide wheel with a fellow evo owners same setup a6 and the bfg wouldn't fit on the evo. Likewise from talking to bfg the evo guys that are road racing them are preferring 275/35/18 over 285 and a 285/30/18 won't fit on a e46 BMW its so wide. We will likely be running the 275/35/18 on 18x11 as soon as we get the wheels shortly. Will try to get pics when we get them mounted

Any pics or measurements with the 18s? The reason I ask is because this does not seem to be a universal standard based on other feedback, but more of a difference between certain sizes...

Also back on the subject of rain tires, what are people thinking? Hoosier wets? Street tires?

Is the SPC camber joint legal in BSP? My J's racing offset ball joint is on its way out and both the J's Racing and the Hardrace ones are backordered.

Yup its legal. I guess you could interpret it differently, but the intent of the rule is for camber solutions like the spc

I've used both options, and I'd wait for the J's or hardrace.
