Prepping for BSP
Marc.
Don't see you registered for the pro did you drop out? From the overwhelming responses that I have seen against the stock/street proposal. I would hope that the seb gets a clue that the people who are actually making the effort to make it to events don't want stock class change. On the other hand when you have events like mineral wells with under 100 registered with a week before reg closed and most of those entries are in rt it also sends the argument the other way. The way I look at it some of these street tires are just as expensive or pretty close to r comps in price. Our bfg r comps are good for at least 100 competitive runs. I haven't done nearly as many events in bsp(especially in full trim) or as close as it gets as we did in str. I can honestly say that I am enjoying the car at least three times as much now than I ever did in str. I think that stock class could use some revisions but not the complete overhaul that is being proposed. The other problem that I see with the proposal is the massive amount of reclassing that will have to be made to create parity. Think ss and figure anything with power corvette, viper etc would be toast to a Elise or even a gt3 all day long. The other point that needs to be made is that of multiple sets of tires/wheels. Right now if your using r comps the difference between the different options in terms of price and competitiveness is pretty small. Street tires on the other hand are completely out of whack. Take an s2000 for example and depending on conditions you would want at least two different tire brands with you and the price can range from under 150 a tire to as much as 250 a tire. Add multiple sets of wheels plus maybe another set for rain and you are jn a small fortune on wheels and tires alone
Anyways see you guys in nj. Hopefully most won't bail since I think we have some good battles ahead and a good number of strong competitors

I never signed up for NJ. I would love to go, but the build has been taking much longer than I first anticipated. Work picked up for me his winter but the pay didn't. As a result, I have been the installer/builder. These freezing temperatures prevent me from progress as well. My new goal is to have the car ready by Spring Nationals. If anyone has an open BSP seat, let me know!

Steve,
Order yourself part number 800-085 from amazon. That's the pair of quick disconnect adapters for the hard ends of the flex sensor. You will need about 4 feet of 5/16 id fuel hose to run from the return to the sensor and then down to the hard line on the frame that goes to the tank. I used 1/4 and just used silicone spray to get on the fittings. Mine is mounted to one of the screws just under the throttle cable bracket that is mounted to the inner fender wall
