I also never shared the new AP2 I picked up in February. Its odd how the "same car" drives and feels so different..
I did a couple things to it right when I bought it.
Had it retuned on a dyno with hondata, picked up another 10-15whp vs the old gernby tune that was on it.
Adjusted the Ohlin DFVs and had it aligned twice, then installed the new TE37SLs in matte blue gunmetal. Running -3.2 Front / -3.0 Rear with 245/17 PS4S tires.
Of course I changed every fluid along with other miscellaneous things and then sold off the Spoon calipers.
What spring rates did you go with on the 2WNRs? I'm loving my 2WNRs - i've been super happy with them. I'm running 750F/700R with a CR front sway and stock 06 rear sway.

800lb front and 700lb rear with karcepts F/R bars.
I'm ready to get back out there. After driving an AP2 with MCS that weren't even that dialed I was thoroughly impressed.
So did you guys do the body work yourselves it appears? Have you done that sort of work before? Looks like it came together pretty well. I am also eying the MCS setup from Karcepts. I have heard nothing but good about that setup so far.
Both cars look great. Wheel to wheel in a S2k looks insanely fun. Please post some pics once you get the wheels mounted. I'm likely going to be ordering the same ones and would love to see them on the car.

I did not do the body work. I took the car to a couple of retired Honda challenge racers down in Columbia, SC. One of them owns a frame machine and both have 30+ years of metal work experience. They do this type of work on the side for fun, super nice guys. They sourced the side from a junk yard and I scooped the door off of a local buddy.
Parts and Labor together came out to be $3,700 for a full repair.

Thanks, I'll definitely share photos once the car is together and ready to race!
Shake down at CMP was a success. Car is almost completely dialed. Need to corner balance it.
Waiting on parts from 9Lives for the splitter before installing. Need to wire up the cartek kill switch this week..
Enjoy Comp school. I hope it’s as fun as mine was. I had raced a lot of chumpcar so was expecting a boring day.
the best part: Driving fast laps you never do like, drive fast but hug the left side of track the whole way. Then do it on the right side. Then do it with a partner side by side, wheel to wheel.
you get the idea.
one difficulty you may want to practice is they made us bail out of the cockpit under stop watch with no warning multiple times. My race car is tight like yours (NA Miata). Getting unbuckled, window net down and out quickly can be very hard in small cars with HANS and all your safety systems in place.

I'm hooked on w2w... Comp school was A LOT. It started at 8am and went until 6pm. Mock races had about 40 cars and we were going 4 wide into turn one at CMP. It was a riot.
We had 8 s2000s in H1 but one blew his diff apart 1st session on Friday. It was challenging to start in the back every race due to being a rookie but made for some damn fun driving.
Had a little contact with a spec e46, gave me a love tap to my rear bumper. It was either brake to avoid hitting a slow car in front at the exit of T8 or hit the slow car.. E46 was 3' off my bumper and had milliseconds to react. No harm done.
Now I'm working on getting my other 3 buddies who do TT to come and run Honda Challenge LOL.
