I'd be interested in a RM splitter

The splitter is 20 points, right? I'd have to choose between it and a wing to stay under 200 points.

I'm planning/hoping to make it to the Pahrump event on May 17/18... I just went to the website and I have 180 points (as the car will be set up for May) - so that puts me in production class... But I looked at the results from this year's events so far and it looks like no one else is running production class. Why is that? Will I be the only one?

The Reverend,
desert tortoise earlier posted the new classification below on page 7 of this thread. SpeedVentures merged the old Modified and Production into one class, now named Modified. Then they retroactively adjusted the earlier 2003 event results to reflect the new classification, and that's how I lost my 40 points for the earlier Modified class (100 points limit) from winning the first 4 track days.

Whew! 195 pts - that was close! Well, hopefully everything goes as planned and I'll see y'all at Pahrump on May 17.

BTW, is there any way to just reserve may 17 and leave the 18th up in the air depending on how I do at the casino that weekend (but still get the regular 2-day rate if I decide to do both)? :-)

Wait, do I get the 20 pts for "any changes to stock brakes" (emphasis added) if I run carbotech pads and brake ducting?

no, just rotors/calipers. It says in Stock that any pad, ducting or line can be run

I just checked the SpeedVentures site for the latest 2003 classing information and points-per-mod assignments and seems it has not been updated It still has the old Mod and Production classing system. This should be updated as it is difficult to retrace these long threads for the information.
