Received all the parts this week and plan to install/tune within a month. I will be going to UMS in Phoenix, AZ for the tune. I'll post up dyno results once in hand.

This should allow at least a few local events before venturing out to the San Diego Tour at the end of April.

...snip of image...
I have my emanage tune scheduled for Feb. 6th. We'll have to compare the charts.

BTW, I dyno'ed my '02 bone stock. When I get all my bolt-on's installed (waiting for the Toda pulleys), I will do another dyno. After I get the tune done, I'll go back to the same dyno for the final dyno run. Should be an interesting progression.

really interested to see. I don't plan to do my tuning till spring

I had my car re-tuned for 100 Octane and it made a bit of power. Thats just an intake, 70mm testpipe/exhaust, stock header, AEM ecu.

Been running it for a year with a hard rev limit 9500rpm's with the ap2 retainers but I don't wind it out in 1st gear
It makes around 220HP on dyno dynamics.

Does the power not fall off really bad after 9k?

That is interesting. How much run time do you have at those RPM's? I wish I had the $$ to do some reliability testing on an AP2. I wondered extensively how long one would last at 9k.

I think Dan is talking about an ap1 car with ap2 intake retainers in it. No way is he referring to a ap2 car. An stock ap2 motor wouldn't hold up at 9500rpms.

The people revving to 9k in a ap2 are crazy enough, past that your just asking for trouble.

For the GReedy eManage Ultimate...

The Boomslang harness weighs 1 lb 1.2 oz and the EMU is 1 lb 9.4 oz. Total weight is 2 lb 10.6 oz.

No not realy even if it did the way I figured if you upshift at 9300ish say 2nd > 3rd you come in 3rd at maybe 6200rpm's vs 5900's theres a lot more power.
Its definitely got more of a kick in the back when I shift now but my laptimes didn't improve hugely after the tuning.

Where I noticed the tuning was midrange for auto-x - not bogging in second and not realy ever worrying about running into the limiter in 2nd.
I think the CAI helped off the line as well where the stock intake box used to get hot and bog off the line.

There was some discussion in the NA forum about the ECU/limiter/sensors not keeping up with the engine possibly in low gears so you might be able to go a few hundred rpm's or so over the limiter. I have a shift beeper - 9000/9100/9300 so in 1st gear I usualy shift before or when I hear that first beep.

Mine is a F20c Ap1 with AP2 intake side valve retainers I don't think you want to rev a 2.2 much over 8500 - I had a stroker 2.2 Engine built in UK that I revved to 9000 and it lasted about a one trackday!

Yeah, I know he is refering to a AP1. There are several posts throughout the forum about piston speed, etc. but I have not seen anyone with an AP2 state they hit 9k consistently. The only drawback (to me) about the AP2 is at tour level events and the lack of 2nd gear speed. I can only get 60mph out of mine w/8500 limit. I would like to find someone who has taken the AP2 to 9k regularly and lived to tell about it.

I'm sure if you revved your ap2 to 9k at 3 races a year it wouldn't hurt it. Also I don't think we can legally change our ap1 intake retainers to ap2 ones
