Has anyone had clearance problems with the Small Fortune bearing mount rubbing the steering boot? I was trying to install earlier and on the stands at full droop it rubs so under compression it will be worse. Looks like I could grind down the offending area to gain the clearance needed. Anybody else have to do this? How much needed to be removed to gain the needed space? Is there another option?
Figured this is the thread to ask.
TIA

As far as I know I had no issues, maybe take a picture?

Will do tomorrow. Pulled them off to make test fitting for sanding the bar down easier and got cleaned up for today. Going to watch some 24 Daytona now.

Read through the thread, don't believe I saw it, does anyone know the rates (range) or weights of the Ankeny bars?

Here is what mine looks like, it's close but I don't think it will be an issue.

When I asked him in 2010 he told me 600 on soft, 800 on firm. I assume lb/in.

Just installed mine also, looks like they will rub at full lock.
I decided not to grind them down.

Here are a couple of shots. Hard to get a good one lying on my back but the lower edge of the mount rubs on the boot with the steering centered and as it moves though its compression/expansion when I turn side to side. Wondering about grinding down just the bottom of the mount to where the drill hole is in the upper left of the right hand mount shown on the bench photo.

Interesting that they are so much softer than the Gendron bars.

I got this response from Guy last August

"Justin--My bar is about 15% stiffer than a Gendron bar, and can adjust about 30% and can be done in less than 1 minute. "
