Just make sure you buy the ball bearing mounts.
Please elaborate. Is it a performance and/or reliability thing?

Thanks,

-Dave
I believe both. The mounts provide less movement from the bar compared to the bushings. They also do not need regular maintenance like the other mounts. The positioning is much better and takes away the binding from the end-links. The expense is hard to justify. You are welcome to check them out on my car

Yeah, the next time I see your car, I'll take a look at it.

I doubt I would go that way for a while as I already have back up mounts for just in case.... or did I give my last set away. Time to do an inventory of my backup parts.

I'll also add the second place ap1 at nationals ran a hollow bar on full stiff.
Don't forget there are two hollow bars. The soft hollow and the super duper stiff hollow. Which hollow one are you referring to?

I thought you had ball bearing mounts dave? I have them on my car. The second place at nationals had his 1.25 hollow bar set at full stiff. Thats about like my solid bar set at 4/6 and your monster bar at 2-3 out of 6 if I remember correctly off the top of my head.

The mounts are $265. It's both like Marc said. The car loads up faster if that makes sense. With the bar being "solid mounted" their isn't any time delay from the bushings having to flex and load up. Alot of people including myself said it felt as if the bar was moved to one setting stiffer.

I ordered the 1.25", 0.25" hollow bar from SFR yesterday with bearing mounts. Can't wait to install those. I also ordered a fresh set of 255/40/17 RS3s so I'm set for the 2012 season. Going to see how I like the RS3s compared to the past two sets of Star Specs I've had.

. . .
Actually there are three hollow Gendron Bars .188" wall 1.25" bar, .25" wall 1.25" bar and the 1.375" Monster Bar.
The forth Gendron bar for our car is the solid 1.25" bar.

Bill should be shipping my Monster Bar with ball bearing mounts soon. After waiting since June for the Saner Bar that never came, I'm very excited.

I waited till the last day I could file a credit card dispute and then did. So, no, I wasn't out any money. I was one of the first few to pay, so I probably would have gottem my bar otherwise. But, I waited as long as I could and still protect myself.

I think everything happens for a reason, and in reality the Gendron Monster Bar fits my suspension concept better.

I'm running CR springs (~7K/~6K) and am planning on making up the effective spring rates with the sway bars. The Gendron Monster Bar on the front and an 427 ft/lbs '00-'01 AP1 sway bar on the rear.

Ahhh... I didn't about that other one. I guess in my stock class days I skipped right over them and went to the solid.

Here's the data on the Eibach Front Sway Bar from their site.

Eibach bar: 32mm (1.25 in) tubular and adjustable
Eibach measured bar rate: 2 position adjustable
P1 = 65 N/mm (368 lbs/in)
P2 = 73 N/mm (416 lbs/in)
Eibach bar weight: 4.8 kg (10.6 lbs)
Bushing: New urethane bushings
End Link: OE

Maybe the first post could be updated with a listing of sway bar rates?

I picked up a 2007 soft top NC MX5 Front Sway Bar from a STR buddy locally but he had to keep the U-brackets. Can I use the U-brackets from my S2000 or do the NC MX5 bushings not fit properly in them?
