going fast in a boosted wingless S is like trying to ride a pissed off bull with wild gerbils up its ass on hot coal.

Took the car out on the track (Thunderbolt @ NJMP) with the Porsche club for their three day event and the car was perfect. Balance was good and the car felt planted. The car actually felt great and it was the first time in a while that I was able to run hard without feeling like I was destroying something on the car. The brakes didn't fade, the control was good, and so the only thing I had to worry about was tire heat management.

Before those upgrades I wasn't really able to push the supercharger on the track so the best times I was seeing were in the 1:43 range. This last event I was running 1:37's and I've definitely got a few more seconds to squeeze out of the car as I get used to it, but the car itself is just about perfect for what I'm shooting for which was something that can run hard on the track and still daily drive.

I'd get the suspension sorted first, then add aero.

I put KW 11k springs (KW 110-140) on the front of my car when I went square, and the setup felt great. I also added the megan rear BSK. The car is not oversteery at all, in fact it's quite neutral. I am still on stock sway bars. Springs are much cheaper than a wing, and in my opinion, you'll need to do the springs or sway bar even if you get a wing.

It works as a package whole... If you sort the car out without a wing, and get your springs/sways in order to run wingless - the car is tuned to run wingless.

Once you add the wing, you'll have to re-tune/balance the suspension to take into account the wing.

If you're going to run a wing, run the wing, then tune your suspension with the aero. If you tune your suspension w/o the wing then add the wing, you'll have to re-tune your suspension again.

Disclaimer: I do not have a wing, but I am very happy with my suspension setup. You guys would probably know better than me how the two work together.

I'm happy with the wing. at 100+mph the car just feels more planted to the track than before. Stock w/ no aero it always felt a bit light at speed and now its planted. I tuned the KWv3's a little, but they aren't far off from their factory recommendations and with their original springs. Handling feels as balanced as I remember from my stock setup days and the grip is just much better and better than what I assume was just from tire patch increase. I'm using the same tire type (RE11's) and went from 245/225 to 255/255 and according to harry's lap timer on my iphnone (not the most accurate g-force readings, but its what I've got), I went from typical turns running .95G and upped that to typical turns running 1.1G which is about a 15% increase in G-force with about a 9% increase in tread width.
