Last night, I was on my way home from work and I pulled up to a light and a black Impala SS with dark tint on the windows. Of course, I think nothing of it, and then I hear a nice loud bellow from its exhaust and I can see a guys shadowy figure looking over at me. After I try to make out his figure, I notice a handicapped parking tag hanging from the rearview mirror , so I decide that I must have a go with this character!

When the light turned green, he slowly left the line, so I thought he was just playing, and then at 10mph, he guns it, and I follow pursuit. With his 5.3L V8 producing 303hp and at the front wheels, he takes me until the middle of second gear, when I reel him in fast.

Second light comes up, he revs again and I decide to end it with this guy, so I rev to 6k, light turns green and I then stide step the clutch and spin for about 10 feet and I left him about 3.5 cars back and he stayed there until the next light.

At that light, I roll down my window a bit and peer over at him and I hear no revs, just a calm idle.

 

Memphis huh? What part? I grew up there... Where was the race?
