Mod for mod and EVO will always slightly out-gun an STi, unfortunately, Mitsubishi is junk, always has been...and always will be. Kinda' weird really, I purchased an S2000 instead of a very low-mileage FD for the very same reason; the S2000 is a slower, quality automobile, not a faster ticking time-bomb.

All I ever hear is how the EVO's have transmission problems. You would think since they have been working n the EVO for so long that they would fix these problems. I have yet to hear of major reliability issues with the STi; in fact, it's just the opposite. I hear how strong the transmission is and how reliable they are as cars.

Once the S is paid off I can see myself getting something like a stage 2 STi and having the S for my weekend car. I think that would be a good combo

You hear about their trannies because it's the most visible issue, but trust me, a modified EVO is a bank-account depleting endeavor of the highest order.

I wanted an STi as my daily (4-doors/great performance/AWD), and an Elise as my weekend car (giant killer), until I drove the Elise, now I want another S2000. Call me crazy, but the Elise feels like a little toy, a go-kart, whereas the S2000 feels like a race-car. If ever there has been a car that failed to deliver my expectations it was the Elise.

I didn't mean to make it sound like NA mods were useless, just that the gains per-mod aren't like those of a turbocharged car. I'd be interested to know the whp/wtq you gained from those 3 mods in concert, did you dyno your car before and after?
oh no man i wasnt talking about you i was just talking about s2ki in general and how most everyone on here says n/a sucks. anyways no i havent done a before and after dyno but im most likely going to dyno it sometime. but yeah i was extremely surprised that simple bolt ons would make up 2 1/2 cars.

Thanks . I absolutely love the Boxer sound, and the Prodrive axle-back I have is the perfect compliment. I loved the sound of my S2000 at VTEC as well, I used to take the lid off of the airbox and drive around to get the full effect...lol. I knew I was losing a few hp, but it didn't matter to me, I had to have that sound amplified!
haha my brother did the same with his s2k before he got the aem v2
