Ok, sorry to get off topic kinda, but this does have to do with an STi. My buddy just got a 2006 M3. They come with 320HP I believe. How would an M3 do against an STi if the STI was stock/modded?

Nobody will ever win this debate. How about this... lets get Tsuchiya to come down from japan to the United States and we can have a "Pinks" run from a stop and a roll with an 07 STi vs an 06 S2000 both stock. And then we can see who is the definite winner. Tsuchiya will be driving the S2000 one of his favorite cars by the way, and he'll have one of his buddies that can also drive well drive the the STi. Is that fair everyone? For those of you who don't know about the person I'm talking about.. he is one of the best drivers in Japan and he used to drift so they call him the drift king.

A well tuned Stage 2 STi will put a hurting on an E46 M3... I've witnessed it many times. I'll even go as far as saying a tuned STi will beat a modified M3 from a roll or a stop. Not by a lot but it would be a dam good race. I'll tell you why an STi will beat an M3.. first off a conservatively tuned Stage 2 STi's put down about 350hp to the flywheel and that is already 17-20hp more then an M3, and we also have a shitload of torque that will get is moving real quick. Second if it's a well tuned Sti it puts down in the range from 360-370hp that is more then enough to beat a stock E46 M3

so would a well tuned N/A S2K do better against the STi than a newer M3?

I think an well tuned S2k will beat an E46 M3 from a roll if driven properly the weight difference the S2000 has is to its advantage

i wasn't bashing on you specifically. I have seen your posts about your s and what not and know that you were a previous owner. i was trying to lighten up all the hate that was being thrown down on this thread and make everyone realize the facts! The STI is a highly coveted vehicle that can lay a smack down on a lot of others, and I respect that. I'm not on anyones side and respect peoples rides even if they are a heaping pile.
It's easy to get caught up in retorts and read everything as an attack, and it appears I've done so, my apologies.

who is claiming that better 60' times = better trap speeds? It's the opposite. People are retarded.

M3s trap 104-106 consistently. They don't have the ET of the STi because they spin for a bit before hooking. An E46 M3 has an advantage over the S2k, STI, and Evo on a roll.

Why the hell did the M3 come into this thread?!?!?! Those overly priced M3's are always coming in to the topic sideways. He's a vid you guys might like about a special m3
