Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I used to own an STi all I had was turbo-back and an intake. I walked stock s2k's all day and my brother had a supercharged S at the time and I walked him too from a stop and from a roll.

[QUOTE=AcePlease,Jul 15 2007, 08:15 PM] The S2000 is a true sports car, sexy, NA machine that can hang with FI autos, say bye to you sideways, 9000rpms...i could go on.

I'm not a big fan of hooking up 4 doors.

It takes a really experienced driver to handle the S2000's handling capabilities which are similar to Porsches and Corvettes on the twisties and sideways action. Coming out of a turn, hitting the gas as early as you can and hitting the 9000rpm mark is a crazy feeling....

AWD is kinda like having training wheels on a two wheel bike in my opinion. RWD driving brings out the real driving skills of man matched with machine precisely making every move perfect in and out of turns, revv matching, drifting, shifting, etc.
So what does that have to do with you? What a car can do and what you can do are two different things. All that skill to race a GS300, right?

I hate hearing the argument of "Well, we're N/A. Just imagine if we were FI like them!" Well, if we had a compression and redline like yours...

One more thing.

Every wonder why most AWD cars have turbo or supercharger? Find out why.

Once you find out the answers to these questions only then will AWD cars with FI understand why the S2000 is one of the most sophisticated sports cars that have come out during this last decade.

what a fan boi!!!! i completely agree with you though, but you forgot about the skyline gtr, and thats one really awesome awd car. Even though all of the statements you typed are true..What does this have to do with a freeway roll race??? we already know the strenghts and weakness of these 2 cars...

I'm not a big fan of hooking up 4 doors. I'm sure AWD is fun, but the S2000 is one of the most fun cars to drive for it's class, hands down. Most people that drive it once, say it's a great & fun car for it's price compared to other cars.

Have you ever asked yourself why most of the worlds best SPORTS cars are RWD? Find out why.

Your post is so full of stupidity I don't know where to start.

Why would you mention a true sports-car hanging with FI autos?

I'd agree that the S2K is a fun car, but not nearly as fun as a Miata, and if you haven't owned both, don't even comment because you'll be talking out of your ass.

Saying something is "fun" and then saying it takes an "experienced driver" to handle it is beyond stupid.

While AWD cars may not be as "fun" (which is a subjective term BTW, not an objective term) to the general public, if compared at the same weight as FWD or RWD they'll own them both in the handling department (re; banned from motorsports).

Remember that at the end of the day you don't know jack, and stating your opinions as fact only makes you look 12.

Hey, I think I hear your mommy callin'.

think about it this way also ACE, it really takes a skilled driver to handle the s2k well right. I wouldnt mind me a half assed driver with the sti running against a skilled driver in the s2k and doing the same results. Ya we can be all hardcore about it....its all about the skills and not the car. but seriously how many pro drivers are there out there? How many guys really run their s2k's and sti's 100%??? Id say a very small amount. I'm perfectly fine with my training wheels helping me out to compensate with my lack of skill in driving 100%. At the end its all about the results you desire. Skilled drivers rely on their skills, noobs/amateurs/whatever rely on their cars! But there comes a point where your skill is more advanced that you want to take off the training wheels (get a rwd "pure sports car" or get bigger ones (mod your awd car)!! I'll never take off my training wheels!!! but i'll get a s2k to complement my sti and vice versa

Which is why the skyline was banned and had a class created for itself in racing. AWD turbo ftw

My turn!

Here is my car list from since... 2004

S2000
Sti
S2000 Supercharged, 4.57
Evo iX

Traded my s2000 in for an sti because of the power, but after 8 months or so I just hated that car and sold it. Went out and bought another s2000, supercharged it, and was happy. Started running into convenience issues with the s2000, no room etc. Found an Evo IX MR with 2 miles on the ODO for a steal and traded in the s2k.

The Evo feels very similar to the s2k in the steering department, something the sti lacks. Sorry sti guys, but the thing feels like my grandma's 1980 oldsmobile. It was fast, but felt like crap.

My evo has 340ft pounds of torque at the wheels, the turbo spool super fast and super smooth. You really don't even feel it start up. All this and more and I'm only running 20psi. I need to get retuned for 22 psi (had to fix a few bugs, like the vacuum leak I caused during a gauge install haha)

Stock for stock up until the 2007 sti, the s2000 was a bit faster over 80mph. That tiny little turbo in the STI runs out of breath unless you open up the exhaust a bit. My stage 2 sti would spank just about any NA s2000 around, unless they had FI they were specks in my rear view mirror.

The 2007 sti has a much better turbo, and it DOESN'T run out on the top end. It WILL spank the s2000.
