M3s trap 104-106 consistently. They don't have the ET of the STi because they spin for a bit before hooking. An E46 M3 has an advantage over the S2k, STI, and Evo on a roll.
100% agree. Unfortunately, the M3 isn't as easy to mod as many vehicles out there, so from a roll it's usually...

EVO > STi > M3 - S2K

EVO > STi > M3 - S2K

I was watching something on tv, and they said stock for stock, the Evo is faster at straight aways, but the STi is faster on the twisties, true?

As far as drag-racing, the 5-speed EVO has always been the slightly faster car because of the gearing and 1 less shift to the 1320, but the absolute best time for both cars (6-speed STi and 5-speed EVO RS) is 13.0. From a roll, the IX RS is the fastest of them all.

With regards to road-course racing, professionals usually choose the the EVO over the STi because it has superior steering feel and gets on its "toes" easier, but novice and intermediate drivers seem to be able to wring more from the STi at HPDE's. In other words, the EVO is tricker at the limit.

Stock vs stock is always a driver's race between the cars, regardless of the forum, they're that close.

who is claiming that better 60' times = better trap speeds? It's the opposite. People are retarded.

I dont know if you can lay a blanket statement in regards to sti's being faster than evos etc. There are three different versions of the evo and also the evo's were changed 3 times in the past 5 years. The Sti has also been changed. I believe if I am not mistaken the my 03 and 04 evos were a tad slower in a straight line than the sti, but better handling.
The my05 esp the evo mr was better handling and faster than the sti but in 06 the evo 9 was def faster than the sti, but in 07 the newer sti's went through a face lift and now its closer.

The S2000 is a true sports car, sexy, NA machine that can hang with FI autos, say bye to you sideways, 9000rpms...i could go on.

I'm not a big fan of hooking up 4 doors. I'm sure AWD is fun, but the S2000 is one of the most fun cars to drive for it's class, hands down. Most people that drive it once, say it's a great & fun car for it's price compared to other cars.

It takes a really experienced driver to handle the S2000's handling capabilities which are similar to Porsches and Corvettes on the twisties and sideways action. Coming out of a turn, hitting the gas as early as you can and hitting the 9000rpm mark is a crazy feeling....

AWD is kinda like having training wheels on a two wheel bike in my opinion. RWD driving brings out the real driving skills of man matched with machine precisely making every move perfect in and out of turns, revv matching, drifting, shifting, etc.

Have you ever asked yourself why most of the worlds best SPORTS cars are RWD? Find out why.

One more thing.

Every wonder why most AWD cars have turbo or supercharger? Find out why.

Once you find out the answers to these questions only then will AWD cars with FI understand why the S2000 is one of the most sophisticated sports cars that have come out during this last decade.
