So i was at a stoplight when a kid in a white stang pulls up. its got the cobra hood, rear bumper, emblems, and i even think he got the cobra rims.. only thing he forgot to get was the front bumper and the supercharged v8 anyways so the light turns green and he floors his autotragic and peels away.. i just granny it and at the next light hes stairing at me so i look over and say "nice cobra" with as much sarcasm as i could.. he says thanks.. so the light turns green and he floors it again, but this time i figure ill give it alittle.. when i floor it he is already like 4 cars ahead and im in 1st at about 3k.. when vtec kicks in i pull EXTREMELY hard (hes got a v6 btw...) and right when im about to pass him he brakes hard and give me a thumbs down, claiming his win.... so finally at the next light he says (stuttering for some reason) "ba ba bitch in s2000 got handed" and turns right onto another road... funny thing is i can see him saying to his friends "man that little 4cyl couldnt hang with my 6!"

oh and oddly enough on my way home from somewhere else a REAL 04 cobra gets next to me and starts revving.. he atleast had exhaust because that thing was loud.. i just gave a thumbs up.. no sense loosing to 2 "cobra's" in one day lol.

I had a similiar encounter with one before. I played with him a bit and just looked over, smiled and downshifted. He wouldn't even look over at the next light. I try to refrain from racing V6 mustangs (kinda like fighting a one legged man in an @$$kicking contest) but when they are cocky posers with a car dressed in cobra garb or saleen garb (even worse) it's too tempting not to knock them down a notch

A black real Cobra, came up to me last week on the highway and starting revving and bucking forward. I gave him the thumbs up, but he thought that meant I wanted to go... no need to get humiliated. That thing sounded mean as hell.

That's classic!! Yeah the 03' and newer mustangs are no joke. One of my friends back home had an 05 mustang decked out with supercharger, NOS, vert. doors, crhome wheels, and nice exhaust it was a beast!!! It was very unreliable though, go figure a ford unreliable, he went and traded it in on a 03' cobra. He then put intake and exhaust and some other odd's and in's. That thing is a monster!! I especially love the sound the SC makes when you floor it.

I am a bit disapointed in the guys who wouldnt race the s/c cobras. Do you only race cars you can beat? Thats like playing sports against only similar or poorer teams. Just my 2 cents.

Take a leaf out of Wis2K's book. You may occasionally end up with a suprising kill.
