The BPU/BPU+ supras I raced are all VERY fast. And yes I do have friends who have the really fast ones, with the single turbo upgrades. But then that wouldn't be a fair match up against my stock turbos.

yes, i have no doubt in my mind that zr1 runs a high 12's stock. believe it or not, i'm a big fan of domestic v8s, especially the newer LS1 powered vehicles. (C5, T/A, SS,etc) honestly, c5 has to be one of my top 5 favorite car of all time.
on most magazines, i agree it's always honda or toyota or sometimes nissan that wins the first place. never a mitsubishi, mazda, or other domestic vehicles. does honda and toyota pay the car article writers or something?

Huh? $15,000 in maintenance cost? And what's wrong with your car?
Let me ask you this...do you already ride a bike? If not, expect to pay more than what you're paying on your auto insurance.
The quote for the F4i insurance was a little lower than for an S2k. R1 is a nice looking bike but everybody told me it's not for a beginner
At least the bike will not depreciate at such an insane speed (my s2k dropped by $10000 in a year) and I will sure not have to spend $2000 a year for just tires on a bike. It is pretty obvious that an S2000 is a much more expensive toy per mile than any sportbike, even if the insurance rates are comparable.
Sports cars are way too expensive toys. I wouldn't recommend buying an S2000 to anyone with under six digits income.
Anyhow, it's just my opinion. I am generally excited about things, in this case R1.
And when person X says "that is dumb" about something that person Y said, well, I think X may experience difficulties in communication with other people.
