In reading this post, I see that we have side tracked a little. What's with the attitudes?

I love my S2000, but I also feel that I'm an automotive enthusiast. I have respect for other cars like the Mazda RX-7 and Toyota Supra. I have to when there are several cars in my town that CAN and WILL outperform my S2000! (Like the Lingenfelter Vette. . .just to name one)

SupraQuick: I don't know you, but I would think that someone who is being offered an opportunity with UNC would have better language to use.

I once heard that profanity is used when the person speaking or in this case, typing, has no other intelligent words to use.

You could have gotten your point across the same and probably would have made a better image on WRS2K.

We need to stay civil on here and not bash each other over the head every time we "slightly" disagree. . .

I would love to have the air blowing through my hair in an S2K - I would love to have one of these cars - the only thing I would miss is the unmistakable lights....you can see them from a mile behind you in your rearview and they ALWAYS approach quickly - the unmistakable and menacing bluish halogen head lights of an S2K..approaching ever so quickly...then vanishing just as quickly Sorry, that's why I still have an RX7. If I had $30K I'd go for the S2K. RX7s are getting to the point where they need a paintjob - I'm thinking of stealing your Spa yellow color instad of my red RX7 - it'd look pretty cool I think What do you guys think?

I think you should keep that 400+ hp badass and paint it that race orange kinda like the Supra in "The Fast and the Furious". There are some nice looking blues for the RX7 too.

I only give attitude to retarded people who post on this board. It's a quality board and I want to keep crap out. I know I post crap 99 percent of the time, but the crap I say is honest crap. I don't claim to drive cars I don't own and I don't claim the S2000 has being the ultimate car. Far from it. To be quite cocky, I'm as real as it gets.

So Elanderholm, get off my ****ing back. Don't post to me and I won't post to you.

Anyways,

I give utmost respect to the properly modded RX-7s and Supra Turbos of this world. I don't mess around with them and they don't mess around with me because there just is no comparison in straight-line speed and track performance.

But let's be real here. The RX-7 is an early 90s car. Outdated? Yes. Fast and furious? Hell yes. Would I take one over an S2000. Never.

Geeez such furious debates well I was going to get a RX-7 or a Supra before I got my S2k, I love all three of these cars, well the reason I didn't get an RX-7 or a Supra is because I couldn't find any one with low enough miles on it (and also because I didn't have enough $$ for the S yet). When I got enough $$ I just went to get the S, because I loved it ever since the first SSM model. I loved the body of the S2k more than the Rx-7 or a Supra. Anywayz ever since I got my car I loved it. What's my point?? Does most population of this world care if you have a car that can go 10 sec in quarter mile?? Answer would be no, does it really matter how many cars you can beat?? not really. Just more danger to yourself. Get the car you like, not because other people say so. I personally love the look of my S, wouldn't trade it in for anything (well in it's class atleast ). If I had a Rx-7 I would keep it. Also just one point, Highly tuned cars drinks mucho gas, think about that.

It seems like so many people are posting that there RX 7 or Supra are faster than the Stook in a straight line. I don't think anyone argues this point.

However if you only are looking for straight line speed then go buy a vette. There are a ton of them.

The stook is a very fast car, has unbelievable handling, the best transmission of any car I have ever driven, and looks great. Everyone always looks at my stook when I drive it.

Whoever posted that stooks are too common needs to take a lookat production numbers...

Not knocking your "stooks" but in my area they are very common. Not that that's bad - I love the looks of them - they always give me neck pains when I see them going the other way - especially that Spa yellow that I'm going to paint my RX7. I probably see 5 stooks a day just in daily driving - so in my area they are common. Each area is different. There is about 3 or 4 RX7s (that I've seen) in a 30 mile radius around my house - nobody knows what the hell my car is. I know for a fact that if I hopped in a stook I would want it more than my RX7. Good handling, looks, vert., and fast - and easier to drive. Driving an 11 second car isn't always "fun" - yeah it has disaster-making acceleration but I had more fun with it when stock. A stook will be my next car when my RX7 runs into the ground - until then, I'll continue watching their halogens fading ever so quickly

If they're so damn common in Pennsylvania of all places, you would know that S2000s come with... HIDs. And you won't ever be so fast enough to see these puppies fade away.

S2000s makes driving fun daily. 10 second drag cars are fun only when accelerating! I had my share of modified cars and the s2000 is by far the best daily driver.
