Default so I am sitting at the light...

by some old Maxima with a very annoying stereo... Light changes, and I am off, thinking distance will reduce the noise. Well I run out 1st and short shift 2nd into 3rd... finally this jerk catches up. Well now he is pacing me so I decide to speed up a little more, not really planning to blast away just open up some distance... he follows and I look ahead at the curve that is approaching... decision time, do I back off not knowing what this jerk will do... or nail it and leave him behind. I choose to blast off and manage an ever so slight drift around the curve... I look in the mirror in time to see the maxima spinning across and over the median!! Moral of the story ... stay ahead of morons in Maximas.

Before I had my S2000 I had a moron in a cavalier playing with me in my Integra GS-R and I had the same thing happen. I knew the ramp on the interstate was tight and i decided to take off on him and he thought he could hang and he ended up losing it off road. You got to watch out for incapable people in incapable cars!!!!

that seriously sucks...did you check to see if he was ok?

i don't think it's something you should be proud of....this guy was obviously an idiot you shouldn't have egged him on.

I don't think he egged him on...it is unlawful not to stop and render aid but...he didn't cause the accident...

Ever heard of "Darwinism"?

Survival of the Fittest, oh well. If the guy shouldn't have tried to instigate anything in the first place. Guy brought it upon himself. But I do hope he's ok.

Also, how big/wide was the median?

No kidding, the guy should know what his car can do... Who's gonna feel sorry for a guy in a Kia try to race a Viper . Same thing in this case....

Did he hit anything when he went of the road???

Yes I looked back to make sure he appeared ok... seriously damaged pride though. The median was part of the left turn lane and about 3ft wide.

And no, I do not think I egged him on... just trying to get some distance between his radio and the conversation I was having with my co_worker. I sped up at the end to be in front of any results of his driving ... not to cause it. Had I slowed down, he probably still would not have and I would have had to deal with him spinning across my path.

With any luck he will have learned from his mistake and Darwinism will not be needed.
