Which magazines compare the S2k and the WRX? I'd love to read the article...
As for the speed, the S2000 is faster, hands down. As well it should be, given its higher price.
The WRX is a fun, practical, safe and quick package. I reckon it to the swiss army knife of cars.
I tried dumping the clutch on my wagon once... The best description I can offer is that it felt like I got rear ended.
I don't see myself doing much in the way of mods to my WRX, as I bought it for a daily driver and want to preserve the warranty. But the idea of a boost controller is nagging at me, not for its increased peak power, but for the increased boost in lower gears.

Integrate, at most audi quattro club events that I go to, there are usually two yellow s4s. Both modded. One is owned by a guy and the other by a girl. The girls s4 is crazy (chip, way bigger turbos, suspensions work, brake work, etc), while the guys I think is fairly modest in comparison (chip and suspension). I forgot their names though.

Yeah, I think I know brian. Actually the first quattro club event I did, my car was parked next to his for the event. I drove in his S4. It's pretty fast, but he cracked the Y-tub that channels the turbo air to the throttle body and couldn't track it for the rest of the day. His car is really fast, but the girls car I was talking about is even faster. He's gotta be in the 12's, but then again I'm not very interested in qrt mile times I

F20C,
Actually the fact that it's awd really hurts the WRX on a launch. Since the WRX really needs to spool up th turbo a bit, it would be useful if it could get a little wheelspin, much like doing a 7k clutch drop in the S2k. Unfortunately there is absolutely no way the subie is going to get any wheelspin, so every launch is pretty much going to be like an off-idle launch for them.

my car is its ability to get out of "the hole" very quickly.
My 60' foot times are in the 1.8 range on 205 width street tires.
I just bring my revs up to around 5000 rpm's, slip the clutch slightly to get the car rolling and release the clutch the rest of the way while flooring the car... All people see is taillights.
Id like to prove my point by offering to race the Yellow S2K that is in my Office complex. It has a NY license plate that reads "NO TURBO". If the owner is on this board, id love to see why my car "would be better if it were only RWD" as stated by another in this thread. Im not trying to start a flame war just defending the awsome power of Turbo+AWD.
On the hand, take my car up to 100 and my AWD drag start to really hinder the power that gets to the ground.
Cheers fella's!
