its your CDV(clutch delay valve). takes some of the shock off of the drivetrain...ie;tranny, diff.

The CDV does not feel like the car is braking, but rather like you let the clutch out slower than your foot came off the clutch. If it feels like braking, then it has to be the VSA actuating.

Thanks for the insight guys... I still don't know what's causing it but at least i now have an idea what could be. I don't think it's the VSA cause the light doesnt flash on and off when this happens.. It's more like as if i shifted, and the car waits half a second, slows a bit during that time, and suddenly acknowledges the shift engagement (even tho its in gear) half a second later. Im gonna go ask the Honda Dealership techs over here and see if they have a clue..

By the way, whats DBW (the opening of it)?

Its normal that deceleration when under acceleration feels like braking, especially as quick as it would be, considering this only happens under WOT, +8500rpm.

This is certainly your CDV (clutch delay valve, as others have said) doing its job. Try shifting with a few other techniques (taking your foot off the clutch just a bit slower, for instance) and tell us what happens.

The CDV is making the clutch slip during the period you describe as "the car waits half a second".

DBW is drive by wire.

It doesn't have anything to do with your situation, neither does VSA.

Thanks again for the info, it pretty much cleared things up for me. Just one last thing stuck on my mind. Since most of you guys are saying that it is probably the CDV that is causing the lag, why haven't i ever experienced something like that on my '03? is there a different system employed onthe '04+'s? just outta curiousity..
