I have a 2002.
I bought it almost 3 1/2 years ago with 30K miles on it.
I bought the extended warranty.
I now have 90K on it.
I had the 2nd and 3rd gear synchros changed out 3 weeks after owning it. It was all paid for under warranty.
No major problems since. ::knock on wood::
Just regular maintenance and LOTS of rear tires.
Soft top needs replacing.
CD player, AC, Heater, windows all work.
I push my car often and still love it to this day.

My 2002 is also my daily driver.

2000? thought this was 2002 thread.
Yup, my bad.

If there was mechanical differences between 2000 and 2002 (other than the top) I guess my post isn't relevant...if the OP wants my post removed I'll gladly do so.

My apologies, I should have read the original post more carefully.

108k miles with zero issues. Never took it to dealer for maintenance. All fluid changes done by me. Track days and canyon drives first few years but now it's a garage queen. Modsded.

hyperpm, WOW! Now this is a testament of the S2000, nice to see it in a 2002. How would your rate your reliability 1-10, 10 being perfect.

What month was your 02 manufactured? 2 hole or 4 hole banjo?

Do you have any mods? (exhaust, intake, ext.)

Thats Sebring silver, right? AP2 wheels? Factory HT. That is one good looking car!!!

I have a 2002 with 51k miles on it.
Bought it at 45k, still under extended warranty, certified used honda.

I have records of oil changes, transmission fluid changes, and differential oil changes.

Never tracked as far as I know.

I have had a master clutch cylinder failure, brake cylinder failure, and seized rear brake calipers.

Window regulator failure as well as driver side motor failure
Transmission grinds and eventual failure (From the clutch cylinder failure)
Noise from the rear differential (Stock gearing)

I dont really drive the car hard, rarely in vtec, and 90% with the top down.
The top has been replaced once and is showing wear again.

The only mods I have done was change out the rims for about 3k miles before switching back, and running a spugen dual oval for 4k miles or so.

Hondas always give me trouble :/
