2007 Honda s2000 blown engine STOCK
Sounds like a horrible situation. I feel for you. I'll throw in some of my thoughts on the matter.
From your testimony, it seems as if you had a major mechanical failure of your lubrication system or a heavy case of oil contamination that lead to lubrication failure. Oil pump failures are rare and I would be inclined to rule out that mechanical failure. That leaves the oil contamination oil contamination to be discussed. One of the worst contaminants that can be introduced to an oil system is ethylene glycol. Ethylene glycol wastes no time in destroying your oil by precipitating your anti-wear additives and oxidizing into some nasty acids. I've read that as little as 0.4% ethylene glycol in a crank case is enough to coagulate and potentially blow an oil passage. How coolant reaches your crank case is often hard to diagnose as, in many cases, a simple compression check will not identify a faulty head gasket.
I really hope you get this fixed. I'll be very interested in the final diagnosis and the resolution.

If it really did pass the 150 point inspection that means it is a Honda Certified Used Car. They wouldn't bother inspecting it if they weren't going to sell it as Certified.
According to the Honda Certified Used Car website EVERY Honda Certified Used Car has a warranty.
"Thanks to one of the most extensive used-car warranties in the business, every Honda Certified Used Car comes with peace of mind."
"The Honda Certified Used Cars Limited Warranty extends the powertrain coverage to 7 years/100,000 miles. "

If you can prove they represented it as a certified car (or even implied it by saying it passed the 150 pt inspection) then you have a good case.

on so many levels
It's not my claim - Honda says it right on their website. I'm not saying the 150 pt inspection is the only thing they do to certify it but why would everyone tell him it passed the 150 pt inspection if they weren't trying to say it's certified?

I see. The oil wad very yellow and on the milky side, however coolant was topped off when I inspected it shortly after my motor died.
I would google image search milky oil to make sure that you understand what they are asking you. I would agree that the poblem is in the bottem end.
Also could you specify how much oil there was when you checked it. Perhaps there was not enugh oil, but I would think that the light would have come on.

So if the dealer sells a used Buick and they give it a Buick CPO inspection does that make it a certified used Buick?
I'm not claiming the OP's car is certified, I'm saying they tried to trick him into thinking it's certified despite the "As is" condition.
