I don't even have the battery in my car, most likely a good thing, otherwise I would run out to the garage and give it a try.

I can't believe the solution could be so "simple".

It probably "forgets" your "custom" setting after the battery is disconnected anyway.

Well I'm sure of that!
But doing this once every spring is way easier than trying to wire in a manual override switch

OMG! This is the best mod EVER!

1) It's free.

2) It offers real performance AND comfort advantages.

3) Any owner can actually perform this mod themselves without getting their hands greasy.

I am VERY happy now.

Some added notes:

The orange light will not flash for about 3 seconds. It then flashes 5 times and goes out.

yeah not to mention the amount of gas people will save.
i had to drive home from the dealer with that a/c on for about 80miles.
