I thought the self levelling on HID's indeed is obligatory over here in Europe... So after all it's possible our S'ses over here have the feature!? Hmm, gonna put some heavy stuff in the trunk and check the line on the wall tonight

you should say, "OMG, are you serious???!!!! Show it to me! I love that stuff! You got yourself a sale if you could just show it to me".

Then watch him get all excited and fumble through the owners manual, ask other people and eventually give up and tell you it doesn't, then you say "man, what's wrong with you. You just ruined my day. And it's my birthday too! I will never forgive you for this. You're the worst sales person I've ever met. And you make baby jesus cry." and leave.

LOL man, I don't care who you are, that's funny right thare~

Auto levelers are usually found on reflector type HID systems.
Actually they are pretty common on many European cars (here in the US) with projector setups like BMW, Mercedes and Porsche to name a few. The Mazdaspeed 3 also has them and has a manual control for them which I think is pretty neat for dark, windy roads with too much traffic to continually use high-beams. I think the the Evo may also have electronically adjustable lights too.

and i don't have any of the tools to get it done,so i brought my car to a body shop and done it for me..after he have done the replacement, i started to ask him can u make the light Aim up a little bid..
he's sure all the cars does execpt some nice Bmw classes cars..
then he aim my headlight in about 1.5 inches front the driver side and 1.0 at the passenger side...
and now my light looks awesome.. so damn bright and shoot far away and it also makes the lights left and right so equal....
Just so you know...this is what oncoming drivers see when you come down the road with your 8k bulbs and incorrect aim...

(Sorry, but I couldn't resist )

The bad news is your lights don't put out as much light as the stock bulbs. But the good news is the modifications your guy did to the aim will do a nice job of blinding oncomming traffic with only the low beams.

I am very impressed with the crisp cutoff of the stock low beams. Personally I think mine are aimed a little too high but nobody is flashing me (at least not in town) like they think my high beams are on.

My other daily driver is an old Galant VR4 with old glass lense halogens. Going from the VR4 to the S2K is like going from candel light to daylight.

The US lights have some sort of visor over them the cut into the top of the beam. If you look close you notice that the passenger side hid shines slightly higher than the driver's side. This is to protect oncoming driver's eyes.
This "visor" might be enough to satisfy the European countries.
