Thanks, RT, but I'll hold off for another couple of days. Besides, something has come up where I may not be driving my car for a month or so.

If you remember my thread on having wrong wheel offsets, it looks like I am getting new wheels with the correct offset. However, DAZZ wants the wheels I now have on the car back ASAP to minimize any chance of them being damaged. Looks like I will be driving a rental or loaner car for a while - should be long enuf to get this SC problem fixed

Hey, thanks for the offer. Looks like that is not the last word though. plus I wasn't going to pay for the rental, that's the dealer's responsibility

Last word I had was that the dealer was insisting that the new wheels be ordered and shipped before they get the "old" ones back....stay tuned.

The new check valve seems to work quite well so far. The Check valve is larger than the one we recieved earlier. In addition he installed a metal tube, but I am not sure what that one did. If dave reads this he can expand on that one. Dave and I drove over 300 miles today going to Comptech and back. Those guys really know customer service. We were there for the better part of the day. From 11:00 until 3:00 and we did go to lunch in between. Shad spent the entire time working on my car. He first connected the PGM Tester (its a cool little computer thing that monitors all of the workings of the S2000) to see how things were doing and everything check out fine. He then took it for a test drive and again everything seemed fine. (by the way, my car was running great all the way to Comptech) He installed the new check valve and noticed that some of the hoses could be routed better, so he re-routed some of the hoses, adjusted the intake so it would not hit the STB and basically cleaned up the install. He is a terrific guy, very personable and knowledgeable. Shad gave me a ride in Comptech's car, I noticed that their car was quieter than mine, Shad said over time the gears would quiet down a little. After the new check valve was installed dave and i went to lunch and the car just flew. No hesitations, very good response. It felt like a different car. I tip my hat to Shad and the entire team at Comptech, they took excellent care of me and was very concerned about the timing retardation problem we have been having. He thanked us for coming up there and letting him see first hand what was going on.

Mike B came down and we chatted for a while, he is a great guy as well. I am very fortunate to live close enough to go to their facility. It is an awesome place.

Oh yea by the way, I purchased a front and rear sway bars from them and Shad and Brandon installed it for me right after lunch.

So in conclusion, the new check valve seems to have fixed the problem so far. Only time will tell. Dave will be picking up his newly SC'ed car on Saturday so we can do some comparisions...

RT the throttle response seems quite good.

PS-when i finally got home, I have 3 bars of fuel left and 208 miles on the ODO. Prior to the new check valve, I would be lucky to break 200mile per tank...

208 miles ! Keith, you sure are a lucky bastard . All jokes aside, thanks for refering me to Chuck at Menlo. I talked to him on Tuesday and checking back with him today, he said Honda instructed him to check my valves. I also told him about my clutch and 2nd gear grind (shhhh...I don't have one, but I won't mind getting one since I grinded the crap out of this car; this is my first stick) and (lucky me) I'm going to get them replaced. To think of it, I think I'll go out now and try to do some crazy 7 RPM clutch drops . Latez!
