If so, are they reworking the MAP sensor to mask the boost electrically (shunt)?
That's an idea.

BTW Keith, got your email and I'll send you out that diaphragm in the us mail tomorrow.

We are sending out a different design checkvalve, not the MAP sensor itself.

Thanks Mike for clearing that up for us. I too was under the impression after talking to Joe that a new map sensor was being sent out.

Thanks for the clarification Mike!
How will the ones of us that did not buy direct from you (Comptech) get the updated check valve assembly?

RT from my understanding they will ship it to the the distributor that originally purchased the SC then it will be routed to Modacar and then John will ship it out. I will ask John today when I go by there how he anticipates it happening.

Sounds like a bad chain letter
I'll be seeing it sometime next year, if ever!

Mike, any way I can get that bad boy direct?

RT,

We can send it directly to you. Please give me a call so we can get your address and also who it came from. That way we can track who has recieved the updated pieces.

Had about a 45 min. conversation with Mike B just now (very friendly ) and it sounds like I should receive the revised check valve directly from Comptech within the next couple of weeks.
Sounds like they've opted for the more conventional set-up that's used on their NSX kit. They've got 5 years history and a hundred some kits out there with no problems.
Hopefully we can consider this problem resolved and that "most" of the debugging of the kit is behind us.

Took my car to John at Modacar today, he test drove and heard the harmonic. He thinks it will go away when the hesitation problem is fixed. He felt it wouldnt do any damage. I hope he is right. Also, I talked to Joe at comptech again today and he said he would send the check valve directly to Modacar and will try and ship tomorrow. I hope to have my car running good by this weekend. By the way, as far gas mileage is concerned, my low fuel light came on at 185 miles. Those 185 miles were driven above 5K and mostly in the 6-7K range...I am sure that is why it came on so soon. Plus had the Air conditioner on all day today...maybe I should drive a little slower since my car is running like crap when I try and push it.
