Buying a s2k soon!
i learned back in '95 in my girlfriend's nissan pulsar while she was in cheerleading practice. ah, those were the days
the S is a pretty easy manual to drive though. the best thing to do is get on level ground and practice the release of the clutch/application of throttle so you get a good feel for where the clutch catches, what it feels like, and how much throttle you need to start off smoothly
congrats and good luck!

At age 21, the S2K is my 4th manual transmission car. My first was a 5spd Nissan pickup and man that thing was a pain. I'd say the S will be an easy one to get the hang of relatively quickly.

i dont have the s2000 yet either..
but i remember i drove around my uncles 2001 Audi TT Turbo Quattro or whatever.
i sucked at it
then a couple months ago i tried it out on my friends 2008 civic coupe.
i sucked at it again.
need less to say im still not confident at all in driving a stick..which is scaring me away from getting an s2k..

my first manual was my 240. the clutch is pretty hard to get used to compared to the newer cars which are easier to drive IMO. my clutch goes allll the way down although you only need to press in maybe half to shift.
but don't be discouraged by sucking at driving stick once in a blue moon especially if you never drove one. it'll take months to get it right and unless you have a car you can practice on daily you can't really learn i think. just be careful that the car doesn't have a fresh new clutch or you might mess it up by learning on it during break in period
