Cleaning exhaust tips
I use Blue Magic, it's a metal/chrome cleaner that you can pick up at Walmart - it's the same stuff that was recommended a while back for cleaning the plastic window (works like a charm, just don't get it on the cloth top; it likes to stay there). It does an incredible job on the exhaust tips. I hadn't cleaned them after 20K miles, then I cleaned them and I wondered why I hadn't done this earlier - they looked brand new.

I wash them as I wash my car no special treatment. I buff them with a rag and wipe out the inside. The insides are really clean for some reason. I have not seen any black or residue on the exhaust tips or in the inside.
