Coilovers or Koni Yellows?
Hello all,
I am possibly in the market for some aftermarket suspension components. I have always heard many great things about Koni shocks. I was just wondering how much of difference in handling to expect between the following:
A. Buying Koni Yellows and some nice springs to go with them
(probably KG/MM super sport springs)
B. Buying a nice set of coilovers
Konis and springs would run about $800 and a buddy of mine is selling a slightly used set of Tein RAs for $1,000. I was just looking for some input as to whether or not it is worth the price difference? Not to mention some second hand konis can be found for about $400. Just wanted to get that out there. Any inout is appreciated. THANKS!

If you aren't professionally driving the car on a race track, building a show car, or just have to have certain parts, save your money and buy Konis. The Konis will get the job done for 98.9% of the people on S2Ki
I have Konis, and would probably be an aggressive street driver too. What kind of info are you looking for?
I see that you added some more stuff to your initial post since I last posted in this thread. $1000 for some RA's doesn't sound too bad.....sounds like a tough decision to make now.
I will say that the one thing I like about coilovers over a Koni/Spring combo is the fact that coilovers are matched up. I don't know what would be the best spring for the Konis. The Eibach ground control kit is pretty decent and I run Comptech's version of it; which I can't knock other than the fact that it is a bit more difficult than most to adjust the ride height.
If you do go with the Konis do not crank them up to their stiffest rebound setting (they aren't dampening adjustable by the way). You'll get a smoother ride with better handling out of an adjustment that is somewhere in the middle, and I've found looser in the front to be more pleasing to me while keeping the rear a little stiffer.
