Comptech Sc Upgrade
I called up comptech the other day, and they said their not coming out with any larger pulley or a SC upgrade, because the research team is working on the new RSX parts and they have no intention anytime soon on working on the S2000
Actually (after e-mailing their S2000 SC designer/troubleshooter), there is only one or two people willing to elaborate or even confirm the SC upgrade. They are working now on minimizing intake temperatures with an intercooler before messing with pully sizes and boost.
The only reason I am so interested... is while my car is very modified (with the SC), I want to get more HP for all of my troubles... tinkering is why I bought the car, so tinkering I shall do...
Sure, I would have kept the car mostly stock (except for the stereo) but it's way too late now...

When I and a couple other people expressed our opinion way back that there were many reasons to keep this car stock the vocal majority here was all over us like white on rice.
Am I reading correctly that more than a few people here (yourself included) who have spent big bucks modding this car if they had to do it over again would not?
I am not going to get into any "I told you sos" but maybe if our opinions were tolerated a little better back then some of you guys might have saved many thousands of dollars and a lot of grief.
That was after all the purpose of trying to get that message across.
It would be informative and quite a service to the community to hear some of the stories of unsuccesfull mods or mods that you regret getting involved with for whatever reason.
Just a thought.
Just another opinion:
I have the FIRST supercharger installed other than Comptech's test car and have had the following problems:
Check valve x 3 - now no hesitation.
Check engine light - see above.
Fuel smell - now resolved with new line.
13,000+ supercharged miles. All of the above were repaired free of charge. No cracks, no hesitation, no cracked differential or blown clutch. I love the thing and don't regret it one bit.
Ston Gard, now that's another story!
