madscientist,
my last comments are not meant to be a personal jab.. just stating an opinion.. i just didn't want you to read it and think i was turning this into a marital debate..

if you want something bad enough just get it.. everything will work itself out.
that is my final word..

Wow, I seem to have struck a nerve with you people... face it guys that is not a good daily driver.. not even close.

Want reasons?

1) Many say it depends on the type of enthusiast your are.... well guys unless you're ENTIRE life is a Fast and the Furious movie, a loud rough car wont work all the time in ever facet of your life for the most part. Sometimes you may need a comfier, quieter ride.. you may not be in a particular mood for it some days (it happens)

2) A two seater? Hey man, like i said... unless you have no family and or friends this can potentially be a problem.... don't tell me I have to explain this one to you guys as well.. you can only take one person around at any one time. this may not be much of an issue for many of you most of the time but you never know when you may really need a back seat... anything can come up

Hey man, I'm not knocking the S2K at all... all I'm saying is if you get a two seater, there will be many compromises that most people would rather not make ALL THE TIME

I cant beleive I'm having to explain this
You did strike a nerve, because you basicaly told all of us who drive the S daily that we must have no friends or family, and must be living out a Fast and Furious fantasy.

If it doesn't work with your lifestyle, then I can accept that. I would much rather have the S as a daily driver than some coupe, and I live a fairly busy lifestyle.

I sort of feel sorry for people who don't get owning a sportscar for a d/d.

yeah I guess I was told... coming from a guy who's solution to putting his kids in the front seat is "just pull it back all the way and they will be fine" LMAO

P.S

Dude, you need to learn to read before you shoot your mouth off... you're situation just proved my point.

moron
Blow me delicate flower,

You can have kids in the front seats. Can YOU read ? If you can, read a owners manual. My point regarding airbags is that they don't extend far even if they do go off with a child in the car. Since I have first hand experience and you still ride your bike to high school you wouldn't know.

What point did you prove dill hole, that your too delicate to drive a sportscar on a fulltime basis?

I have been using my S as a daily driver for 1 year exactly today. Like others have said, it doesnt ride smooth like a mercedes but a mercedes sure doesnt handle like it does either. I love the car and plan to keep it many years.
