Definitive S2000 CR Thread
[QUOTE=vishnus11,Apr 4 2007, 07:36 PM] 76days on s2ki and your well on your way to establishing your reputation as a blithering idiot.
The "stupid" wing and "ghey" front lip add actual downforce - and would be useful additions to a track day addicts car.
90lbs of weight reduction. Any twit would realize that they were able to drop more weight but had to add some back via some of the performance improvements. Did you factor in the fact that Honda added bracing to frame, bigger footwear, and added body parts? Guess not....
I find it hilarious that you put a fugly carbon fiber hood on your car in the name of "weight reduction" (per your cardomain page), claim that you run mid 13s in the quarter

and claim that you've beat STis and M3s, and your calling this "rice"
Grow up ricer.
If you don't like the way the car looks - thats fine. But don't start some BS about how your car would "run circles around a CR"
Let me see - do we trust "toofast4yall" with his 3" "custom" exhaust and his carbon fiber hood that adds 35hp, or do we trust Uehera, the father of the NSX, ITR, and the S2k, to make a trackworthy car. Tough decision, huh?
You haven't driven this car, nor will you ever drive one. You have no idea what its upgrades can do for it on the track. Instead, your just some pathetic fellow who needs to feel better about his 8 yr old AP1 by bashing the CR. Go sell your S2k, buy a SRT-4 and satisfy your ricer urges.

You've got to hand it to Honda regarding dropping the ball!
I remember a time when you could look forward to really cool things happening with their cars. Let me step back to 1991 when you were able to purchase the:
1991 Honda CRXSi - great little car
1991 Acura NSX - amazing to say the least
1992 Honda Civic Si - new body style
2000 Honda Civic Coupe Si - 160hp VTEC screamer that carries your mates
2000 Honda S2000 - what else is there to say?
2000? Acura Integra Type R - Damn!
2002 Acura NSX-T and Coupe - excellent re-style on a classic performance car
See where this is going...Honda is producing NOTHING exciting now and we can only await the new NSX. Talk about mainstream it seems Honda is more or less only concerned with tapping into the SUV market, Minivans, Accords, Civic's (dime a dozen just like Chev's Cavaliers, Sunfires, and crap like that but with wayyyyyy better quality).
I'm so glad that I'm an owner of a 07 S2000 and soon to be owner of a NSX (both of which I WILL NEVER SELL!).

You know, as the day goes on, this thing is growing on me. The Smurf Blue was shock. But after I got past that and started to look at it as a car for the track, it started to grown. The real differance will be on what they did you can't see. You will only be able to feel as you drive it.
The stock aero looks functional. I am looking at a larger wing than that for the track only car already, so if it was tested in a wind tunnel, even better. If I owned it, it would be stripped, so the CF looking interior just does not matter, at least to me.

smurf blue
slammed
wing delete
rims
done
If you take off the spoiler and change the springs, you are losing the 2 most functional changes to the car besides the tires. I don't see why you would buy one if you were planning to do that!
The CR is beautiful, mathematically. Function over form, really. I am quite surprise at the amount of s2000 owners who find this appalling. I thought that's what the s2000 is all about.
<= hated small, convertible cars, and never though he would buy one until he drove the s2000
