If you take off the spoiler and change the springs, you are losing the 2 most functional changes to the car besides the tires. I don't see why you would buy one if you were planning to do that!

It was a joke for those who have a sense of humor. I recall seeing mencia live and him yelling the N word left and right, don't hear anyone complaining about that now do we. How do you know what race I am anyways? Nice comeback too, you just stooped to the very same level you are trying to dispute. ie. slander gj Anyways it was taken out of context, I'm am by far a racist, I have many friends who are Asian, Black, Hispanic, and list goes on, it was meant as a typical profiling joke but oh well. Deleted.
Well, it took me about an hour to read the 500 posts since I last read this topic.
Honda, thank you for making a new version of the S2K. I don't think people are giving you credit with the research and development you have put into this car.
Here is my opinion...
Likes:
Revised console. I love it. I would love to put one in every s2k ever produced.
Rims. Some people don't like them, but it's a matter of taste. I wonder if there is any weight advantage with them.
Tonneau cover. Beautiful and well excuted.
Shift knob. I know, it's probably just countersunk and voodoo-esque, but I really like it.
Stiffer suspension. I of course haven't tested it out, but if the suspension makes the handling even better, then that's wonderful.
Better steering ratio. Good choice.
Rubber. Having racing quality rubber on a car out of the factory is something not many people are doing. Bravo.
Downforce created by actual body changes. Even though I disagree with the execution, the theory behind it is wonderful.
Interior color. I think this would go best with the yellow exterior, and would look gorgeous. I especially like the changes with the interior door panels as well, even though yellow stitching would not have been my first choice in the car.
Dislikes:
Front lip. I have no wind tunnel experience, but it seems like a couple carbon fiber canards on each side would provide comparable downforce, with weight savings as well.
Rear wing. I'm on the fence with this one. For its function, I like it. For its form, I am not too happy. But I can understand the reasoning behind its form, so I will not complain much.
Non-pearl blue. I think the flatness of the blue paint is what is turning me off to the color. While it may be strikingly similar to the Spoon blue, that does not mean it is an acceptable blue on the S2K.
Minimal weight savings. Only approximately 3% was shaved off the car. 5% would not seem to be that much harder to do.
Carbon fiber style interior. When I see plastic made to look like carbon fiber, I feel that either the installer was too cheap to use carbon fiber, or that the item was purchased at Pep Boys. I just don't like it at all.
Overall, I think Honda did a great job integrating the wants of enthusiasts into a new trim level. What the majority of people have to remember is that Honda still has to sell the cars they produce. If they make anything too polarized toward the enthusiast market, they will lose out on their normal market. This is why it is so difficult to make a fully stripped interior on a commercially sold car. I hope that once this car goes into production, that people will at least give it a chance. While the pictures may not look pretty to almost everyone in this thread, this car is still an S2K.

I also meant to mention...
AP1_S2k, I am sorry that you are from MD and represent the Mid-A community with that comment. I don't know if I have met you before, but I hope that if I do, your racist comment in this thread is not a true reflection on your character. I am very disappointed that a discussion about a car ends up devolving to racially charged remarks.
