Did you see the still closed up brake duct openings?
Were they faux CF? I just noticed them and added it to my mental list of disgust then went to the next pic..

I am a little relieved. I was thinking the CR might get me to sell my 05 S2000 and upgrade. Now seeing it, I have no intention of doing that.
but i do really really really like the new radio cover. will have to upgrade to that sucker.

I think they were talking about the radio door with the faux carbon fiber maybe? that's the closest I could come up with, I didn't see it anywhere either..

I got the high res off the hondanews.com site.
lol, looks like they covered up the "top switch" with a sticker or something.
excuse my ignorance, i have an ap1 with original radio door, whats different about this one except for the dimples...?

what a HUGE disappointment! honda could have done something real special with the CR but instead we get this. when i first heard about the CR it made me think that i should've waited and i'm glad i didn't. and for those who think there will be huge mark-ups for this F&F model, i think not. honda dealers will be selling this at cost if not below within 30 days.
but on the plus side i do like the seats but i would have gone with red stitching instead of the yellow. the wheels are okaaay nothing to get excited about. i was really hoping for a type-r treatment with the CR.
what a send off for one of the best sports cars in history!

Broham: What do you mean about the ITR? Sure, there are ricers with ITRs, but a lot of people track them, as you well know

You are coming to VIR this year right? From what I've understood, basically AHM basically took a huge gamble bringing the Acura Integra Type R to the U.S. It's no secret that the ITR was geared toward the same type of auto enthusiast as this S2000 CR. These are auto enthusiasts who want a street car that could perform on a road course/circuit as in Japan.
If you remember, the ITR was discontinued after the MY '98 because the sales of the ITR were not up to par and AHM expectation. Then, after no MY '99 in the U.S. only, the ITR was reintroduced as a MY '00 and '01 model. Basically AHM wanted to cash in on the growing "import tuner scene" during that time. Although many ITRs were sold , AHM never really reached it's goal of selling the ITR to it's target audience, i.e. those who would drive them on a track. Therefore, there would be no Honda/Acura models in Type R form seen on North American shores ever again.
Sadly, IMO, this S2000 CR will go that same route. American auto enthusiasts really have very little input into the designs of Hondas on American soil. When it comes to Honda performance models we always get some "watered down" model which is not totally AHM's fault, but U.S. emission laws were at fault as well.
well, here it is in its glory...since no updated this thread.
