What I can't believe is what marketing genious at Honda decided that baby blue would be the color they'd put on this car.
What kind of crack are you smoking?
The choice was clear to all of us..... Championship White. Easy call. The car would have still been ugly, but it wouldn't have been quite as bad. I mean this color is something you'd expect to see on a '96 Civic with an all white and blue spray painted interior.
The other thing that gets me is that one of the major selling points they keep mentioning is that it comes with better tires. Not only is this a part that wears out, but its also one thats horribly easy to upgrade on your own car.
It's almost unbelievable that unveiling a car like this could actually generate negative feelings toward Honda. I could see it not wowing us, but to actually hurt Honda's image in our mind is a feat to say the least.
I'm SO pissed off at Honda for this one that I can barely stand it. The part that makes me the most mad (other than having my hopes inflated and then crushed) is that this shows what Honda thinks of us in the enthusiast segment.
This is what they think of us....
It's insulting.

Concept = EXCELLENT
Execution on concept = Grade of "F"!!!!
Goodness, what Cali and FL owners did they do focus groups with?
Sorry to bust on those that may have played a role, but did the requirements Honda ellicited from you in those focus groups get captured as you visioned?
I sure hope AHM gets their act together on this car before releasing it in Fall. BTW, I smell an S2000 CR for sale on Ebay sometime this afternoon.

The CR amendment to the name stands for Club Racer and while the car make no more horsepower than a standard S2000, the company says it's faster around a racetrack. This is thanks, in part, to a weight loss of about 90 pounds.
2000 of these a year? I see Honda being stuck with 1999 of these.

No need to change mine either.. The Ap1 seems more track ready than this thing. I imagine people will be doing Ap2 conversions on these too since you will be able to get them at rediculously low prices.

what is AHM? american honda motors?
Further proof that the entire AHM design team styling and engineering views are wide off of what we want and quite possibly off of what Honda has been known for in Japan.
I see these designs and I say to myself, what were they thinking.
Styling and overall direction should be and stay Japanese.
Even if this viewpoint continues to say "No V8", as long as we continue to get cars like the NSX, the S2000, the Fit, the new CRV, HSC, JDM Civic Type-Retc...; NOT the ugly prototypes that were shown. Including the Accord concept. We all know the major influence character lines were TL and the fenders/front S2k.
If we wanted these kind of designs we'd buy a Chryslers.
