Does the immobilizer prevent hot-wiring??
does anybody have the unbrakeable antitheft device?
i remember watching the infomericials a while back and it seemed like a pretty decent device to me. its like the club for your car but locks onto your brake instead. i believe the website is www.unbrakeable.com . dunno, but in my opinion id rather sometime steal my radio or whatever then the car itself.

Hi All:
To get my car insured over here (Holland) I had to add a certified alarm system (dual immobilizer and self powered sirene - in addition to the stock immobilizer key) and decided to go with the Clifford 600 series which also has the anti-carjacking feature. Every time I start the car and/or have opened one of the doors I have to enter a code (self programmable), otherwise after 20 seconds or so the car dies with all bells and whistles going off. This is especially handy when somebody steals your keys as well(!!) It also has a digital tilt encoder and proximity alarm (when somebody touches the windows or roof) in addition to the interior volumetric sensor. It also works when the top is down, because it is a digital processed system rather than an oldfashioned radar system.
Evidently Clifford is a good brand, but did anybody hear something different?
Their G4 system is the top of the line, I believe, with text messaging when the alarm is set off and you can dial the car up to make it start or stop.
Happy Holidays!!!
