The windshield tape I removed would have nothing to do with water leaks and/or seals. Unless water comes through the a-pillar. What is probably happening is because the car is hand panted the painters are being a little slack. Why bother to paint the a-pillars to spec when they are just going to be covered up with some tape attitude. Not sure who came up with the tape after thought idea or why (other than top up looks, but who cares about that), but it is not a very good one. If the a-pillars were designed to be black (why when they look better body color) they should have been painted and not taped. Maybe all the black cars are really beautiful n.f. red covered in electrical tape.

 

My body guy did a PERFECT job, he even did the bumper at the same time (de-badged) and everything matches great. So it is possible to match the Spa Yellow Pearl.
