I can't rest my arm on the door if my right hand is on the wheel, hurts my shoulder. But if I'm cruising, I find I can comfortably rest my arm on the door if my hand is on the upper corner of the windshield (with top down). Have to drive left-handed that way, but it's not bad.

I can only rest my arm there for a very short period of time. Its not comfortable. I'm 6'4" and couldnt imagine anyone taller than myself fitting in the car.

Its not real comfortable, but 100% better than in an Audi TT Coupe. Those side windows are REAL small (and with a high door sill)

the door sills are that high up because it makes the car much stiffer. if you want to look cool and pimpin resting your arm on the sill, get a 3-series convertible. this car is performance first, looks second.

You guys should have bought an Australian model. They come with armrests built into the doors.

Thanks everyone. By no means would this be a determining factor in buying the car. I was just curious because I remember reading a few months back that BMW lowered the top of the door on their roadsters for this purpose.

I guess I can live with just being a head behind the wheel.

You could always shove a few cushions under your butt...

Resting your left arm on the door is for grandpa.

I like the high door sills on the S2000. Gives the illusion that the car is bigger than it really is. You want the go-kart feel, not the go-kart look. Get what I'm saying?

Go for it and buy one. Good luck. If you need a local referral, let me know.
