ECU Question
I have done some mods on MY01 and was wondering which way might be my best choice for an ECU. I really don't want to spend the money on something like AEM.
My engine mods are: Spoon Intake, 70mm TB, Ported (70mm) & Polished Intake Manifold, BDL Fuel Rail, AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator, Stock Injectors that have been ported, Berk Header and Berk Test Pipe. I will be doing a Cat Back, just not sure which one I want. It is between the Tanabe Medalion Touring or the APEXi World Sport 2. Once the exhaust is finished and I make the choice on either a reflashed ECU or piggyback, I'll be done modding the car, at least that is what I am telling my wife.
My questions are: Has anyone sent their stock ECU to Jet Performance to be reprogramed and if so how did it turn out? I am also thinking of purchasing the Greddy E-Manage Ultimate. I am just not sure which way to go, so your suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

K-pro ftw!!!
I don't know anyone who has done it yet on an s2k, but i helped my friend tune his ep3 after a rev hard turbo install and, k-pro is an amazing program...
I want to get it for my s but, want reviews of the install from someone else...
So you should get it and let me know how it goes ....

I haven't seen anyone ever mention Jet Performance on an s2k before. I would be cautious.
The GMU is at least proven technology.
But having gone to an AEM EMS after 6yrs of piggy-back VAFC, I am so sorry I didn't just go ahead and put down the extra money from the start. Only thing is that you need some one who really knows what they are doing tune the EMS.

My biggest concern is over kill. I don't track the car and the mods that were and will be done have been at the prodding of my 2 boys, one is 25 and the other is 30.
Tell me if I am wrong, the stock ECU is unable to take advantage of the mods that I mentioned at the beginning of this thread. I know that the the AEM will, but at a cost of around $2,000.00 or more includinging the tune. At almost half the cost for the GMU including tuneing, will it take full or at least a high percentage of advantage for the mods I have made?
I would really like to get some additional input from those that have experience with the Greddy e-Manage Ultimate.

I would talk to the different shops that perform tuning in your area than make the decision
Remember every tuning device is only as good as the person who tunes it (most the time) if the lack experience or simply dont like it they will not optimize your tuning or performance
