Looking for advice and personal experience regarding aftermarket exhaust - HKS / Borla / ..... etc.

Stock is too docile for my tastes.

Looking for lower pitch (more full bodied) and somewhat louder. Less concerned with HP gain

Comments?? Suggestions?? Price?? Where??

My personal experience:

Neuspeed: deep, aggressive, and powerful (almost V8ish) throaty tone throughout the RPM range, 5HP gain

HKS: aggressive, higher pitched than Neuspeed, also 5HP gain

Mugen: Quiet, with a very "tuned" but reserved tone. See King Motorsport's website for HP gains.

Spoon single exhaust: You want the highly tuned, high pitched sounds of a GT car? You want sounds of a circuit racer? You got it!

No. It's guaranteed by Neuspeed.

I love my HKS Hyper/HP exhaust and it's usually 1200 bones, I gotta great deal, 800.00 bucks and 2 days shipping.

I would say that HKS, Neuspeed, and Mugen are 3 of the more popular brands among the owners here, and there are plenty of owners who will give you their views of their exhausts. I really do like all of them, but since I commute in my baby, I can't take too much of the sound from most of the exhausts except for stock (too quiet) or the Mugen exhaust. Contact Giampiero at MG Racing (one of our main sponsors) for HKS, Amuse, Spoon, or any other JDM exhaust pricing, he usually gives us some very good deals. Contact Scott at King (also one of our main sponsors) for Mugen's setup. Contact yours truly at Import Development (a small sponsor ) for Neuspeed or Spoon pricing.

Unicron has the NIPPON exhaust and it's alot like the stock exhaust. It does have a lower note but doesn't get very loud at WOT.

I will give it an excellent rating on the fit and finish. It really maintains an OEM look with a bigger shinier exhaust tip.

Here is a LINK to his installation pics.
