First Impressions
So I picked up the S2k yesterday. Here are my impressions.
1 6 spd is truly magnificent.
2 Without going over 5500 rpm this car is kinda fast.
3 Shift knob is aluminum, as stated on window sticker.
4 Oh I bought it for MSRP
5 Rear end traction is in question right now. I am in Maine and the roads are not perfect. Coming around a corner with some speed put me sideways. Heart rate never went above 70 tho.
6 The HID lights are "wicked" cool, ayuh. A lot brighter than my S4 I once had.
7 Very impressed with build quality.
8 I am going to wear a hole in the seat because every time I get in I rub my foot against the left corner.
9 I need to purchase Ricks center console cover immediately.
10 I will drive all day in local traffic so i can come closer to VTEC land.
Well, thats my quick impression. Anyone in the New England area that would like a partner in crime this spring/summer for some world tours feel free to get a hold of me.
And i would like to say this forum has been a great help in many areas. Thanks a lot.

Just be REALLY careful in the cold. As I'm sure you've seen throughout various threads, COLD is the enemy of these tires. They just don't stick when it's cold. And they don't give up traction gradually, especially in the cold. Be careful.
I'm in Massachusetts, near westford. I'd love to see a bunch of us get together in the spring/summer. I missed a big trek out to western Mass last fall, which bummed me out.
In any case, have a great time with your new ride!

I am up in the lewiston/auburn area. 30 min north of portland.
Oh and about the tire performing in the winter.........i was gonna ask why the hell its so easy for me to go sideways around clean tar corners. Wow. I was seriously thinking i need some 17's or something. Maybe a a bag of sand in the trunk. Kidding.
And I am definitely up for a planned cruise. Happy sailing.
