For example, right rear flat...
jack up the front, replace with donut
jack up the rear replace with right front
Is there a problem jacking up the front with a rear flat, damage to the rear rim maybe?

So.......
1. Loosen all the lugs on the front and rear tire
2. Go ahead and jack it up from the front jacking location.
3. Remove lugs and flat rear tire, set aside
4. Remove lugs and front tire, relocate to rear, reattach lugs
5. Place mini-spare on front, reattach lugs
6. Lower car back down
7. Torque down all lugs
I've had two flats since ownership. One back one front, car only has 7500 miles on it and the factory valve stems were leaking ( if you bent the stem to either side it would leak) have since replaced all stems with full metal stems. Had to drive with the front on the back for about 70 miles or so, that was a ton of fun.
Putting the "phony spare" on a drive wheel is cautioned against by several manufacturers. The logic was always given that it would spin up the differential something fierce. IIRC I got that warning in my 1998 Contour SVT, although of course it was WWD.
