So, updated? Did you get the car? How are you liking it?
Picked up the car last night, drove it 70 miles back to school in a drizzling rain...that was kinda scary, I didn't push the car at all until I was back on dry road and then I had a little fun, but nothing too stupid. I personally love the wheels, just stock powdercoated black, they go great with the silver paint job, I'll take some better pics later after I clean it up. My dad and I ended up looking for the gas thing for like 10 minutes...kindof an awkward place for it. Overall consensus...I LOVE IT! Twice on the way back from Spokane I was complimented about my car, which made me feel pretty good, never got much respect in my Accord. Getting 4 new tires tomorrow, going to try to stick around $100 a piece.

Yeah I know, my dad bought it for me...I realize how fortunate I am, I would have driven anything he bought me, it's his money, and if need be I would have bought my own car, but he's starting to make more money and whenever he does he always goes on shopping sprees, which is not a good thing, he's already been bankrupt. I'm going to pick it up right now, and yeah I'm gonna have to be extra careful, this will be the first RWD car for me. Thank for all the well wishes, I feel honored to join such a prestigious group of car owners and loyalists!
cool dad, nice purchase. He looks out for his son.
Now that his was once "bankrupt", he must have had a great turnaround to buy you a car. How about the creditors? Did they get fcked?

Gotta love the U S of A

anyways, you seem like a good kid and sound respectful

welcome to the club and a bunch of elite indivudals

Do not go cheap on the tires or you may be talking with your insurance agent real soon. This car does not like cheap/bald tires.

Would you reccomend sticking with the tires that came with the car stock? Or is there a cheaper tire that still works well with the S2000...any thoughts would help, gonna go to Les Schwab like noon tomorrow

If he went less performance oriented and more towards conservative tires could he not get a decent tire for somewhere around 100 a tire?

Not saying he should or shouldn't just curious.

I know a few owner's (including myself) that run Yokohama AVS ES100. If I remember correctly the 16's run around $100 a piece.
