Thumbs up Go Pro Mounts for wind deflectors

I got a GoPro for Christmas! (yay)

I think I want a mount that goes onto the wind deflector thing. Any recommendations?

What mounts do you use?

Put one of the curved mounts on the glove box. No need for those wind deflector ones.

Same, but requires some padding of the secret compartment area to prevent that gnarly audible rattle and to reduce vibrations.
And to the OP, don't forget, you will need a tripod adapter to mount to the Modifry.

Can't you only stick the curved mounts on once? Do they leave a mark when you remove them?

I stuck a Go pro brand curved mount on the secret compartment cover. Its barely noticeable and I figure if I ever remove it and it leaves a mark, finding a replacement secret compartment cover wouldn't be hard. I use it for track days and I have no problems with vibrations.

I just put a flat mount on the wind deflector, doesn't bother me and video looks great I think.

my favourite view is on the front windshield, passenger side, out of the way of the wipers. Its stable and picks up the intake and engine sound nicely. The mount affixes nicely and can be removed and the 3M tape removed without marking.

I've used the Gopro brand suction cup mount on different parts of my car and have no issues with vibrations if everything is tightened down correctly.

I've also mounted mine on different areas...I don't have the Modifry mount either so I'm also reluctant to use the permanent stick mounts on my glove compartment. I have a hardtop so i've also used the suction mount on the inner part of the rear window to get a good view...however, if you're top down, just use the suction mount and stick it on the body just before the trunk...you'll also get a good view there. To avoid wind noise, I use an external mic and i've put the microphone in my cup holder. I get all engine noise and no wind noise.

This video has the camera (NOT my current GoPro...was using the Playsport...not as good) mounted just before the trunk and you can see the wind deflector:

This video is with the camera on the top middle of the windshield (no external mic yet on this video):

And here is a picture of it suction cupped to the inner rear windshield of the hardtop:
