I think any perceived change in performance after doing this is simply imaginary. The car will "seem" more powerful or more responsive because the throttle is opening sooner than before, that's all.

Can't wait to adjust mine! Damn it's gonna rain. No fun for a few days

point is to take the slack out of it, not put tension on it. and yes, i did it, it make for slightly better throtle responce. dont expect a ton, but you will notice a diffrence.

There should still be some slack left in the cable. If you over tighten, you will know it after a test drive...It will more than likely change your cars idle and the rpm's will stay up even when the clutch is engaged. You would have to be semi retarded to mess this up.

This adjustment is quite simple, however, pay attention to what you are doing and you won't have any problems. If done correctly your idle speed shouldn't change. It should remain at 1000 rpm.

This adjustment can be done on your own (read my first reply on this) but having a friend to help wouldn't hurt.

As for "feeling different" it definitely feels better. OBVIOUSLY no gains in hp or torque but it does feel more responsive due to the lack of slack. Daily street driving has improved especially from the initial get go in 1st gear.

This is a simple and worthwhile adjustment
