Just trying to help those shopping for the best, as suggested in this thread. Although I cringed at the price at first, I don't regret buying the AC jack for the S2000. It has paid for itself, and is probably the best tool investment I've made for the car.

A Harbor Freight jack that is rated for 1.5 tons should never be used to lift anything greater than 1 ton if you know what I mean.

It'll fit under the front of the car? Do you think it'll fit a car lowered by 1.5in?

3 ton jack coupon $79.99

That way you dont have to worry.
Should still fit under the S too I think but should probably go check in-store to be sure. They usually have floor models out.
whaat that's a great deal too. this harbor freight place rocks.

although you are probably right about double checking the clearance since it isn't advertised as a racing jack.
Harbor Freight is pretty cool. But keep in mind most of their stuff is considered "disposable" if you know what I mean. Most of their stuff is made in China. Not by adults, or even child labor. But by Rhesus monkeys.

this one. I personally have this one and it works great. very low profile, good price and hasn't failed me. its pretty sturdy/heavy. Doesn't look like it was cheaply made. Just pick up some jack stands and you'll be ok
Will it fit do you think under the front of a 1.5" lowered car?

I'd have to jack (off) my car everyday for a year to pay for this! lol

Anyone have this one? Arcan XL2 I like the long reach - seems it would get to the middle points. For now I use a craftsman and drive onto ramps - clunky solution but it works. Question is - race ramps or another jack?

Is your car lowered?

I measure 27" from the front bumper to the front of the jack-point. Does the taller part of the jack (the side by the handle) fit under your bumper? Thats the only way I could see it working for me... I have the HF 2.5 ton jack witch is about 4" shorter than the 2 ton and mine is not even close, but I can't fit the taller side under the bumper.

My '06 is stock, so I don't know how this would work on a lowered car, I guess it would depend on how low the car sits.
