Has anyone ever flipped an S2000?
Just wondering if anyone here has ever been involved in an accident in which an S2000 was flipped over. I'm six feet tall, and the top of my head sticks up just over the roll bar. That worries me a little.
Luckily my girlfriend is quite a bit smaller and probably better protected.
I know it's pretty tough to flip cars anyway, unless you're involved in something REALLY energetic, but I'm curious as to how well the S2000 (and its occupant(s)) handles being upside-down. I was going around a little decreasing-radius exit ramp this morning, and it got me thinking.
Hope everyone's well!

There was a fella that said that he flipped his here in NC. When i asked about how he fared he indicated that while he might have been lucky he did not sustain any head injuries related to the flip. I am sure that he will chime in.
There's a thread with the subject "Insurance" in the title. Do a search; it's only a week or so old. The guy let his girl friend drive and she rolled it TWICE and they both are around but sore (only) to talk about it!
This was my car after I flipped it a few months back~

I'm 6'1" and had the top up at the time.... trust me, its not a car you want to flip in when you're that tall..... I had multiple stiches to various parts of my head, lucky I'm still alive ~

While there are no federal mandated roll-over tests for convertibles (Surprisingly), Honda did it's own roll-over tests with the S2K and it performed very well. The windshield A-pillar is heavily reinforced, as are the roll-over hoops which are bolted directly to the main frame rails. The roll-over hoops have heavy guage tubular roll bars inside that look quite strong. The hoops are braced by a horizontal frame rail that spans the width of the car. Regardless of all of this, I don't plan on rolling my S2K any time soon! Cars usually roll when they slide of road and hit a ditch or a hill. I'm going to try my best to keep my car wheels down...

In the aftermath after my incident, a couple of people who didn't want their wrecks publicized contacted me. There was a person in another hemisphere (could I be anymore vague?!) that flipped his car end over end into the craggy rocks of a seashore. He walked away, but his car was a total loss. He sent me pictures.
The car was a total los. Yet another S2000 giving up its life so the driver can walk away. This was one of the more amazing wrecks that I had heard about. It just confirms with me that this in one tough car.

I think that by May or June of 2000 I had seen pictures of 5 different S2000's that had rolled over. Three of those resulted in deaths. As far as I know all of them hit something like a curb, or a rock before they went over. The one Greg mentioned was amazing.
