Has anyone substituted a remote for dash controls?

The only place that you would need to solder is if you get a simple relay tht only has solder pads. If you get a relay in a harness (basically a chunk of plastic that holds the relay) then you can use wire crimps, wire nuts or whatever you want.

If by problems you mean installation-wise, there have been a couple of instances where things didn't work on the first shot, but don't think that's strictly the domain of self-installers. It's the nature of the beast that some S2000s will be more problematic than others, and you would run into the same issues whether doing it yourself or using Pinky's pre-made harness. As a for-instance, the resistance on some S2000's (mine included) are too far outside the range of that expected by the PAC unit. This requires swapping out the resistor...it happened to me, and has happened on several of Pinky's harnesses as well, but it's a simple fix.

I'll try and update my webpage tonight with some of the current issues and their solutions (if I remember).

I never opened the door with the Honda stock head unit. I put in a Pioneer PEH-730 with Pinky's mod. The mod works great but there are so many features and the cool organic display, I go manual most of the time know .

Side note to all...I've updated my webpage with potential issues and solutions for the PAC unit.

Let me know if I'm missing anything, or about any info you'd like to see added...
