I have to agree with sev. Even though im having alot of problems with the customer service standpoint of the car. Id own another if it came my way. I absolutely love this car. Its rare..and we all have one. Come on. Thats gotta stand for something. . Just want it back on the road. Good news though. The new diff is it the car. Just im not going to pay for it. Heh. I refuse. Honda put it in without my consent too. This dealer sucks.

g1s2k,
Are you sure that is good news? Are they going to release the car to you without paying the bill? Sounds like a bigger mess to me.

well i dont know. I just thought of it like this...if honda pays..then the car is already to go..if i pay..the car is already to go. But..because i didnt authorize them to put it in. Thats good on my side. And do you know that ive been calling for my denial in writting and i still dont have it. I called the DSM's boss and all. No one can tell me exactly why my car was denied and no one has it to send in writting which to me is very odd.

Des,

Bump.

In light of my recent differential failure, I wanted to see if it was a more widespread problem now that we have cars with more mileage. Mine failed at just under 25,000 miles. Dealer told me it was back-ordered... if it's not a common problem, I'm surprised it's back-ordered.

My mechanics at Honda test drove the car ( he have rebuilt the transmission ) and while he was listening at all the suspected sound that can come out from the trans. he told me that the diff. is making a sound that he never heard in any other s2k.
So i am suspecting a failure soon.

I got this Click CLICK CLICK Sound as I release the clutch.... after I finished from my Autocross (And came 1st in A Stock)

... So, as a result, i think something went wrong... as I checked it.. I raised the car, and turned the wheel... !! What I noticed that the other wheel moved after 1/2 sec... and that worries me.....
Anyway... I want to understand something... I want to change my diff now... and I do not want to change it to the original Diff.. so what else in the market... what is 1.5 or 2 way diff.. I have no clue

Thank you
